2014 – 2015 SCHOOL YEAR 
Head Start Teachers for Nobles County, classroom is located in Worthington 

Position is 9 months, full-time, and 3 months part-time.  40 hours per week during the school year and 20 hours per week for summer employment.  Teacher to assist parents with 3 and 4 year olds in the role of being the first and most important teacher of their child by planning, implementing and documenting an individualized curriculum for each child assigned.  Minimum Educational requirement is an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, would prefer a Bachelor’s Degree.   Must have transportation available for work use.  Former Head Start parents are encouraged to apply.  Reasonable accommodation for special needs will be furnished upon request.

Worthington Head Start Center

  9 month position, 25-30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  Bilingual  required.  Child Development Associate credential or willingness to obtain one, required.  Duties include working with 3-5 year old children, assisting teacher in the classroom, riding the bus to and from the Center, assisting the driver, adhering to transportation guidelines.  Former Head Start parents are encouraged to apply. A major portion of the work is devoted to the routine processing of applications and performance of related clerical duties.  This involves assisting applicants in completing their application, verifying and computing income, determining eligibility and data entry.  Proficient in Word & Excel and strong math skills required. Must be able to multitask and have a pleasant and professional demeanor for phone/office client contacts.  This is a 9 month FT position with a possibility of becoming a 12 month FT position.  Hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.   Competitive wage with benefits.
