HEAD START BUS DRIVER
Worthington Area

9 month position for 2015-2016 program year to provide safe transportation for three and four year old children in a Head Start Bus.  Minimum of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (willing to help you obtain CDL).  Must be able to pass a DOT physical, and enter into mandatory drug and alcohol testing.  Former Head Start parents are encouraged to apply.  Reasonable accommodation for special needs will be furnished upon request.

HEAD START
Early Childhood Education School Readiness Coach

Strong desire and motivation to work with adults to create and sustain a program of high quality for the children and families of Murray, Nobles, Pipestone and Rock Counties.  Must be self-motivated, have the ability to work in a fast paced- high expectations position, responsible for working with staff in developing educational, family and transitional programs to exceed the Head Start Standards.  Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, preferred, AA/AS Early Childhood plus Head Start teaching experience minimum.  Willingness to obtain CLASS reliable certification.  Working knowledge of MN Rule 3 and Head Start Performance Standards a plus. Former Head Start parents are encouraged to apply.

HEAD START

Home Visitor/Family Advocate for Murray County & Nobles County

  Position is 9 months, full-time, and 3 months part-time.  32-40 hours per week during the school year and 20 hours per week for summer employment. 

Engages in mutually respectful goal-oriented partnerships with families to promote parent-child relationships and family well-being; Respects and responds appropriately to the culture, language, values, and family structures of each family served;  Supports families’ safety, health, financial stability, life goals, and aspirations;  Enhances parent-child relationship and supports parents’ role as the first and lifelong educators of their children;  Supports families in using community resources that enhance family well-being and children’s learning and development. Acts as a member of a comprehensive services team so that family service activities are coordinated and integrated throughout the program.

Educational requirement minimum Family Service Credential training or willingness to obtain within the first year 2 or 4 year degree in Social Work or related field preferred.  Must have transportation available for work use.  Former Head Start parents are encouraged to apply.  Reasonable accommodation for special needs will be furnished upon request. HEAD START

Interpreter / Classroom Assistant Substitute For Worthington Area

August through May, part-time, non-exempt.  Bilingual required in Spanish. Responsible for interpreting for the teacher on home visits.  In addition, possibility to substitute responsible on the bus or in the classroom, assisting the driver, adhering to transportation guidelines.  Head Start parents and past Head Start parents are encouraged to apply. Teachers  - Classroom Located In Worthington


Position is 9 months, full-time, and 3 months part-time.  40 hours per week during the school year and 20 hours per week for summer employment.  Teacher to assist parents with 3 and 4 year olds in the role of being the first and most important teacher of their child by planning, implementing and documenting an individualized curriculum for each child assigned.  Minimum Educational requirement is an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, would prefer a Bachelor’s Degree.  Bilingual skills beneficial. Must have transportation available for work use.  Former Head Start parents are encouraged to apply.  Reasonable accommodation for special needs will be furnished upon request.
