Responsible For
The Pipestone Head Start Teacher is responsible for the classroom and implementing curriculum based on knowledge of families’ and children’s needs and interests. Working with parents to ensure that the educational, health and social services needs of individual children and their families are met.  Working with component coordinators to assure planning, organization, implementation and follow-through with comprehensive services, curriculum, Performance Standards, MN DHS Rule 3/Minnesota Certified Exempt Rule, and best practices in early childhood care and education.
Additional Requirements
Medium work requires lifting up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor while interacting with children throughout the day.

Educational Requirements
This individual must meet Head Start Teacher qualifications in the standards of the program, which is a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or A.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field with experience teaching in a preschool setting.

Starting hourly rate $20.29-$23.26 based on skill, education and experience.
