SMOC is excited to expand our Health Services team with the addition of a Public Health Nurse (PHN) to support our continued growth and innovation in community health and school-based health services. This role represents an important investment in advancing population-based care, promoting health equity, and strengthening access to high-quality, whole-person care throughout the communities we serve. As SMOC Health Services continues to grow, this position will help expand preventive, responsive, and compassionate healthcare services across our clinics, community programs, and school-based settings, creating lasting impact for individuals and families throughout southwestern Minnesota.
Responsible For
The Public Health Nurse (PHN) functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of Minnesota, and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct and the Minnesota Public Health Nurse Practice Counsel Guidelines.
Educational Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN); Bachelor (BSN) Degree in Nursing, and Public Health Nurse Certification in the State of Minnesota
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in Public Health Nursing required
Salary
Starting hourly wage range is $32.07 to $34.35 based on skill, education, and experience.
