Prairieland Transit System / Nobles County Heartland Express

The Worthington City Bus Route was approved by the Nobles County Joint Powers Transit Authority to increase access to needed goods and services through a limited public transit route service in the City of Worthington.

The service is funded by MNDOT as part of the Nobles County Public Transit System and utilizes a Nobles County Heartland Express Bus. It is being administered by Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council, Inc.

The Worthington City Bus Route travels on a designated route service to 14 locations throughout the City of Worthington (Click on the schedule & guidelines link at the bottom of this page to see the route). The Worthington City Bus Route service is available Monday through Friday. Some holidays may not be available.

How Much Does It Cost To Ride The Worthington City Bus Route?

The cash fare for a one-way trip on the Worthington City Bus Route service is $1.00 per person, per stop, regardless of the age of the passenger. Passengers must place $1.00 in the farebox when boarding the bus, or have pre-purchased tokens or punch cards. Bus drivers cannot and do not make change. Bus drivers cannot and do not sell tokens or punch cards. Passengers need to pay the exact fare amount of $1.00 for a one-way trip in the City of Worthington.

When Is The Worthington City Bus Route Available?

The Worthington City Bus Route is available 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at designated stops as published on the Worthington City Bus Route schedule.

How Do I Use the Worthington City Bus Route Service?
